Our Story

Zipsafe is the anti-theft backpack solution in securing your belongings.

Our story starts in Vegas, unlike many others it won’t stay in Vegas.

While on vacation with friends and family, we found ourselves always having to hiding our valuables to avoid being stolen, splitting pool times and always leaving someone behind to act as a security guard. We were sick of having a dilemma every time someone wanted to go for a swim. We knew there had to be a better solution and hence ZipSafe was born.

Our mission is simple, give people a peace of mind and sense of security. We set out to create a stylish and useful bag that can safely secure all valuables while you enjoy yourself.

My journey with ZipSafe started back in 2012 when I developed the first prototype. Trying for years to design the perfect solution to the problem of protecting personal property, I found nothing in the market that would solve the problem and was easy to use.

My goal was to simply provide peace of mind while you are out enjoying your vacation, working remotely at a coffee shop or providing security to a student on or off campus. Once the product was ready, I knew I needed help to launch it! Finding a partner with the same passion, drive and strong work ethic was the next challenge. That’s why, my current partner, Bashar , was the perfect person. We share the same entrepreneurial spirit and ambitious problem-solving determination.

I’m a serial entrepreneur that was delighted to join the ZipSafe Team. When Tony introduced me to his innovative bag, it immediately connected me to personal experiences in my own life.

My son, Brandon, is a type 1 diabetic, meaning he must carry critical life savings components and medicines everywhere he goes, this includes insulin, insulin pumps, sensors, and so on. The ZipSafe bag is a very practical way to carry all of these supplies, any bag can offer that, but the additional security features can not be found elsewhere. The ZipSafe bag would provide me as a parent an added measure of comfort. It is these types of personal reflections that convinced me there is a very real need for the ZipSafe bag and I jumped in with both feet. The ZipSafe bag can provide peace of mind in real-life scenarios.
